Do modern procurement professionals have the skills to achieve the success that is expected of them?

Recently at Market Dojo. we surveyed hundreds of procurement professionals and found that 71% thought that their company lacked the skilled personnel to effectively run sourcing events. Do you agree with this? Or is it simply a case of time rather than skill? What's your opinion?
