Metal indexing

I would be very interested to know what indexes people commonly use, globally, to track base costs for metals, specifically Iron, Steel incl Stainless, Aluminium, and Yellow Metals, what thresholds you use, and how often you index for both internal use and price amendments. I am aware of the many indexes available, so the question is more directed to specifically which indexes you use, to track which metals. Thanks
