Barkers Launches BWS Bid Writing Service
PRESS RELEASE – 1 MARCH 2021
Established procurement consultancy, Barkers Commercial Services has today launched BWS Bid Writing Service.
Director at Barkers, Warren Kozera, explains why he felt it was so important to set up this new business, which is spearheaded by bid writing expert, Victoria Johnson.
“Countless organisations purchase services through a tender process, which means there are a great number of companies looking to secure business by winning bids. And yet many organisations rush through a bid completion to meet a deadline. Or bids are prepared by individuals who have little experience of writing compelling submission content. At Barkers we acknowledge that achieving business growth through winning bids is a fine art. So we decided to establish BWS Bid Writing Service.”
With four core service lines; Bid Writing, Bid Preparation, Bid Review and Bid Management, BWS Bid Writing Service can tailor it’s support to suit a client’s unique requirements. Whether that is simply a need to check pre-prepared documents prior to submission, or to manage a submission from start to finish, BWS Bid Writing Service has the skills and capabilities to help organisations win business. Key to the business is a culture of putting the client first. Uniquely in the industry, BWS Bid Writing Service provide a portal which grants clients 24/7 access to their bid collateral, enabling them to remain firmly in control of their bid. This transparency in operations is key to establishing a strength of relationship which helps drive results.
To deliver positive outcomes for clients, the company has recruited Victoria Johnson, an APMP qualified bid specialist with an enviable reputation. With over 15 years’ experience supporting global clients across almost every industry, ranging from financial services to the pharmaceutical industry, construction and beyond, Victoria boasts a success rate in excess of 80%.
“Leading a bid writing business has been a dream of mine and Barkers has been the perfect fit for me.” she explains. “Barkers’ ethical procurement practices attracted me to the business and I’ve been impressed by the social value they have generated locally over recent years. Barkers see value in areas which others may overlook. And bid writing can be akin to that. Teasing out the very best of an organisation and showcasing skills which may have been forgotten or disregarded is hugely rewarding.”
So given Barkers themselves frequently win procurement consultancy business through successful bid submissions themselves, is there ever a conflict of interest for BWS Bid Writing Service? Warren Kozera says not. “We would never take on a submission which placed us in a position whereby we could not put our full efforts into securing a win for the client. We’re open and transparent in our working practices and would be honest and upfront about whether we could support a client with their specific opportunity. BWS Bid Writing Service complements the Barkers provision because it provides us with an opportunity to further enhance the consultancy support we can offer our existing clients.”
