The Faculty Strategic Supplier Development for Social Enterprise
Build a socially conscious future through strategic supplier development.
In the dynamic landscape of modern procurement, the call for diversity, equity, and inclusion often takes a back seat to traditional metrics like cost savings and efficiency. These traditional procurement focuses often fail to consider broader social and environmental impacts. While social enterprise suppliers offer significant potential for positive social impact, many lack the scale and experience required to successfully navigate corporate and government procurement processes.
This masterclass aims to bridge the gap between social enterprise and large organisations’ procurement requirements, by using supplier development as a tool for capacity building. Participants will learn how to identify, engage and develop partnerships with social enterprises in ways that enhance their capability to be more competitive in procurement processes. Using strategic supplier development approaches that integrate social impact considerations into the procurement process, participants will be better equipped to balance financial considerations with the social impact goals of their organisation.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
- Grasp the theoretical foundations of strategic supplier development for social impact.
- Acquire practical tools and strategies to implement the concepts within the organisation.
- Drive positive change through procurement activities.
