Rachel Farrant

Like most people in procurement I "fell into" the industry - not a profession that is widely advertised during discussion with a careers adviser at school! Leaving University I took my first job as a purchasing assistant in the timber industry thinking "why not give it a go?" and I now have five years experience within procurement and supply chain. I have achieved my CIPS Diploma and will be looking to continue my studies in the future. I have now worked in both direct and indirect procurement, enjoying the challenges that both pose and the varied tasks and activities each day brings. My current position at Avios allows me to flex my musles across the full spectrum of indirect working with a diverse range of stakeholders. I'm hoping that Procurious will allow me to gather insight into best practices of other procurement professionals, helping me to grow as an individual and develop in my career.
