A consulting position my role was to collaborate with business of all kinds to identify opportunity to add value through Procurement and Supply Chain optimisation. My strong operational experience allowed me to identify opportunities which are achievable and relevant to each organisations business model.

Vanguard's mission is to help clients reach their financial goals by being the world's highest-value provider of investment products and services. I worked within the Australian business unit and successfully managed the integration of a new Australian purchasing function with the much more deeply integrated international function. Overcame internal resistance to change and developed strong stakeholder relationships in order to demonstrate the value of Procurement to overall business operations. A key element to the role was the flow down of key contractual requirements driven by both Vanguard as an organisation and the financial service industry as a while. This roles held a strong focus on adding value to indirect spend, IT infrastructure and software and critical service providers.

In this role I managed various categories as a category manager in support of Thales Australia operations. A key role I held within Thales was as Strategic Sourcing Manager for the successful Hawkei development programme in support of Land 121 Phase 4. This high profile role in a Global Organisation allowed me to hone my skills across a range of key procurement and sourcing areas of expertise including:- Global benchmarking and market analysis; Managing specification development; Manage tenders and bids; Negotiate contracts; Make sourcing recommendations and obtain key international stakeholder buy in. Contracts management/maintenance Establish/Monitor Key Performance Indicators Manage annual cost targets Audit supplier facilities for cost/quality improvement initiatives Conduct tenders, bid analysis & sourcing recommendations Manage and develop supplier performance

Managed the final product development and process optimisation for Toyota Camry vehicle programme for interior trim. Successful award winning programme for Plexicor.

The role has a key position in the definition of the overall strategy and direction of the Group. MaxiTRANS companies and brands include Freighter, Maxi-CUBE, Hamelex White, Lusty EMS, AZMEB, Peki and MaxiPARTS with sites across Australia, New Zealand and China.
