Veronica Marquez

I began my career in distribution companies, where I held positions in accounting, marketing, sales and customer service, account receivable management, and finally moved into distribution and warehousing operations for a full 360 days of business experience. This varied experience taught me the importance of aligning efforts and goals to achieve business objectives. Then, the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, which offered me a new way of looking at problem solving, enhanced this systemic view of the organisation and became my greatest strength as it awakened a desire to continually challenge the status quo. Working with communities of practice, I have implemented performance indicators and visual management tools to effectively track the workday; managed continuous improvement projects on a national scale and with multidisciplinary teams; and facilitated root cause analysis and problem-solving training sessions and work sessions in different industries. Known for my inclusive approach, I involve the entire organizational community in creating the vision of the future, exploring avenues for optimization, and co-developing the elements necessary to achieve your business goals. After more than 20 years in the industry, I dreamed of new professional challenges and opened my own firm to offer personalized consulting services to organisations. Since 2022, I have also been a lecturer in the master's programme in operations management at UQAM's École des sciences de la gestion, where I teach a course on service creation and management. In 2023, I was named one of the Top 50 Experts in Operational Excellence by the PEX Network and I started a LinkedIn Live podcast about excellence in industry 5.0.
