I work for Essex Shared Services, a new joint venture company between South Essex College and Chelmsford College providing finance, payroll and procurement services to the two colleges and external clients. Started off as an apprentice, now an assistant and a key member of the procurement team. Looking to achieve my CIPS level 3 in the near future and progress to become a category manager for IT. My responsibilities are varied from, tender releases (high and low value), training and offering advice, to making sure we adhere to regulations, assisting teams create and manage contracts and much more. I have been involved in some of the colleges biggest tenders and projects, this includes project managing a purchasing website for college staff to use to centralise all purchasing., FF&E plus kit outs for new builds.

I'm responsible for ensuring that all production parts are on schedule and in stock for final seat/galley assemblies; the commodities I am responsible for are: * Mechanical components (inc gearing) * Paints, fluids, adhesives and chemicals * General consumables * Health and Safety consumables * Composite materials More recently, I have been working closely on purchasing items for Airbus and Boeing projects, 2 of Ipeco's biggest customers.
