Identifying self-imposed and external barriers & the impact to your aspirations

What are you aspiring to do next in your career?

The answer does not have to be clear now, but you must have a dream or aspiration, even if it is a few years away. What are the barriers standing in your way.

Just like a business does a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunity and Threat), you need to identify how the way you feel and think about yourself stands in the way of your progression. You also need to know how others feel and think about you and how this impacts you moving forward.  This gap is where self-imposed and external biases and barriers live. A lot of the self-imposed biases that we build up as barriers are hard wired in the way we grew up - our socio-cultural and gender norms that have formed our identities.

In this session, we confront and unlock these so we can begin to break, unlearn or navigate these biases and barriers.

This Masterclass Series is for The Faculty Roundtable members only. Each member organisation can nominate one representative to join the CDW Program. Please contact Rhylee Nowell, Senior Program Manager, The Faculty for more information [email protected]
