The Faculty Culturally Diverse Women Masterclass 5 | Member-Only Event
Leading yourself despite barriers & reframing your personal brand
Despite women having clarity on their career-life plans, our communities and workplaces still hold structural and systemic gendered barriers.
For migrant, CALD and women of colour, the barriers are intersectional – having a compounding effect from barriers to their race, culture, age and socio-economic class. The lack of representation of these women in leadership roles in business, politics, government and media means that they likely have Anglo or European leaders who make hiring and promotion decisions.
From 2017, we have found that racially and culturally different women have navigated these barriers from strategically identifying key allies and advocates that align with their current and future career aspirations and goals.
Who are your allies and advocates and is your personal brand strong with them? 78% of our past participants have achieved their career goals from deliberately transforming their personal brands over time, so they garner confidence from key allies and advocates to back them with ease.
