The Faculty Culturally Diverse Women Masterclass 6 | Member-Only Event
Influencing Support from Allies and Advocates
Knowing what you want and who to ask for support – those allies and advocates is one thing, but actually influencing a ‘yes’ and continued support is an ongoing initiative.
This session is aimed at the skill of influencing in the context of your career plan. We take this to the granular level of the first or initial conversation with your identified ally or advocate and how you keep them engaged and interested in backing you over time.
Many of our past C-suite and Executive level allies and advocates have reported that migrant, CALD and women of colour and women in general have asked for support and then left them responsible and accountable for finding opportunities.
They have reported feeling overwhelmed, guilty and unsure of how to support these women. In this session we give you our unique experience with 400+ women and how they tackled influencing the support of allies and advocates who changed their career trajectories. We share our tried and tested approaches.
This Masterclass Series is for The Faculty Roundtable members only. Each member organisation can nominate one representative to join the CDW Program. Please contact Rhylee Nowell, Senior Program Manager, The Faculty for more information [email protected]
